Let's Meet on Government Street is basically an 8x8 love letter to Baton Rouge as well as a time capsule to anyone who reads it for years to come. I moved to Baton Rouge in 2014 and it has been wild to watch as things have continued to grow and change.
So I took some time to press pause.
Now I can relive mundane moments that I will come to miss so much as time passes. My boys' favorite shirts that they'll eventually grow out of, the coffee shop that acts like our second home, the cookie store that they ask for anytime we pass, the friends we've made in the small business community -- all of it.
It was a lot of work to say the least. Every single page was hand-drawn and painted. I invested in a scanner so that I could upload everything and make sure it kept its quality. I hope to do this again soon to capture the magic and adventure that children can make in Baton Rouge again.
